Our church buildings boast signs declaring ‘Everyone Welcome.’ What would happen if people took us literally at our word?

Imagine a group of sex workers or conmen turned up for the Sunday Service. What if some homeless people or those from another faith decided to give church a go? Would they leave feeling judged or stay feeling wholeheartedly welcome?

We know that Jesus welcomed everyone. Literally. He shared meals with the dejected and rejected, the rich and powerful, the self-righteous and the humble.

Perfect for Communion settings, this filmed spoken word with Matt Britton, reminds us everyone is welcome at Jesus’s table.
