Path through a field

Finding a book that speaks to the heart of weariness feels like a breath of fresh air. By its very nature weariness often leads to isolation and shame, so having someone give language to this journey brings reassurance and hope. Dai is incredibly honest. Through his vulnerability and kindness, we hear some of his own story and what has helped him walk through the last few decades of church ministry.

I listened to the book on audio and was very encouraged. It sounds like a cliché, but it really spoke to me. I appreciated how tender the writing was, but also the elements of tough love which can be vital to move through a season and not get stuck in it. Dai offers the reader steps to pick yourself back up and press onto towards the prize.

Dai ends the book with a prayer so precious I have since read it over and over. I will allow you to discover it for yourself.
